At Bakermat, we’ve reimagined the sourcing process with RE/SOURCE—a fabric fair designed to educate students, brands, and designers about textile production while offering the opportunity to purchase directly from the stock of leading textile mills.
By building meaningful connections between creators and the textile industry, the event goes beyond simply sourcing fabrics.
We believe building connections early in a creator’s career offers invaluable insights and support for their professional growth, empowering them to navigate the industry’s challenges with greater confidence and expertise.
Material choice is a fundamental part of a sustainable design process. Through in-depth presentations during the event, we aim to provide a deeper understanding of the participating mills’ expertise and practices, broadening creators’ knowledge on how to make informed decisions that align with both quality and environmental responsibility. This includes detailed insights into the manufacturers’ supply chain through our “Supplier Passport.”
How does it work?
Twice a year, RE/SOURCE travels to various cities across Europe, offering a full day to learn about our textile partners and explore their fabric swatches. Browse the collection, compile your order, and buy fabrics by the meter directly from the stock of our textile partners—no minimum order quantities required.
Once the event concludes, we collect all orders and send them to our partners, who prepare and ship the fabrics to our Bakermat shop. Your order will be ready for pickup within three weeks of the event’s final day. Can’t make it to Antwerp? We also offer delivery to your location for a small fee.
