HAND WOVEN NOIL SILK

A medium-weight, 100% Noil silk from India, hand-woven in a leno weave to create a fabric with a distinctive cutwork pattern. Noil silk is made from shorter fibres left over during the production of other silk fabrics, resulting in a slightly rougher texture compared to traditional silks. While it lacks the sheen of other silk types, it is stronger and has a superior handle to cotton, providing a unique texture with more depth and a pleasant drape. This fabric’s slub yarns enhance the rustic aesthetic, making it perfect for creating tops, jackets, skirts, shirts, and dresses. Its beautiful cutwork creates a striking stripe pattern. Noil silk is valued for its sustainability as it utilizes leftover fibres and offers an eco-friendly alternative while maintaining durability.
